Things to eat in Singapore

While I am still recovering from being sick, I had been trying to put together a list of things to eat when I return to Singapore.

Already, I already have a list of food that I would like to devour when I am back, including:

  • Chwee Kway – best if it’s from Tiong Bahru
  • Hokken Prawn Mee – the one from Airport Road Market, where they use Bee Hoon and Mee
  • Fried Oyster Omelette – any recommendations?
  • Char Kway Teow – the ones with cockles!
  • Sambal Stingray – with lots of sambal, but where?
  • Duck Rice – with just duck breast meat
  • Laksa – from the overhyped Katong Laksa
  • Chinese Rojak – the one from Yishun is not bad
  • Popiah – with chilli
  • Chicken Rice – I still haven’t found a good one in Brisbane, but which one in Singapore is good?

I am sure the list will go on. As much as I like Chilli Crab, the fear of biting on a shell and cracking my tooth is real. The last time I bit on a chilli seed, 3 of my teeth hurt for 3 days and I thought I had cracked all 3 of them.

Turned out I only cracked one. Hur hur hur.

So, would anyone like to join me on my food tour when I return to Singapore?
