I actually enjoy watching Doraemon, and had been watching it for as long as I could remember – when they were still showing it on both Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30am on Channel 8. These days, they only broadcast it on Sundays.
It became an issue when I first arrived in Brisbane – because I obviously can’t receive the channel, and I couldn’t get it to play on Toggle (because I was out of Singapore). Much later on, I installed a VPN server at home and was able to connect to the VPN at home to watch it on Toggle. Little did I realise that the inability to watch Toggle only occurs with Apple devices – because I got an Android TV box and I could watch Toggle on it.
Much later on, I realised I could watch it on my Android devices but not on my Apple devices. So I guess it’s either an Apple problem, or that Android devices somehow bypass the check that I am watching Toggle from an overseas location.
What is more interesting now is that I am finding less shows being restricted from airing on Toggle, and I am able to watch another favourite show – Wheel of Fortune 😛
